Lily + Michael’s Wedding at The Wildflower 301

One of my favorite things about this wedding was how relaxed the entire day felt. There were beautiful details everywhere, but nothing took away from what was actually happening around us. Lily and Michael were surrounded by their favorite people, their dog got to be part of the celebration, and the ceremony was incredibly sweet and emotional.

Live violin by Ken Lambert made the ceremony feel even more romantic. Between the music, the dreamy light, and everyone gathered together to watch Lily and Michael get married, it was one of those ceremonies that felt incredibly intimate even with a room full of people.

Their espresso and black color palette was perfect for a February wedding. The darker tones gave the day a chic, timeless look while all of the softer and more whimsical details kept everything feeling romantic.

Winter Wedding Photos in Greensboro, Georgia

February weddings have a completely different feeling than spring and summer weddings in Georgia, and Lily and Michael’s day is such a good example of why I love them. The softer winter light worked beautifully with the moodier colors they chose and gave us such a dreamy look throughout their portraits.

We also photographed portions of their wedding day on 35mm film. I love incorporating film into a wedding gallery because it captures a day a little differently than digital. The grain, movement, and imperfect little moments fit especially well with the laid-back feeling of this wedding.

And of course, we had to celebrate with a few champagne pops.

A Wedding Reception at Wildflower 301 That Turned Into a Party

Once the reception started, it became very clear that the Stinsons know how to throw a party.

The romantic and emotional feeling from earlier in the day turned into a night full of celebration. Espresso martinis, cigars, drinks, dancing, and a room full of people who were genuinely excited to celebrate Lily and Michael made this reception SO much fun to photograph.

Those are always some of my favorite parts of a wedding gallery. I love the beautiful portraits and carefully chosen details, but I also want the photographs that remind you what your wedding actually felt like. The hugs, blurry dancing, drinks in hand, people laughing across the room, and all of the little moments happening once everyone lets loose. Lily and Michael had plenty of those.

Getting Married at The Wildflower 301

The Wildflower 301 is a beautiful wedding venue in Greensboro, Georgia for couples who want a setting that can feel romantic and elevated while still allowing the day to feel relaxed. Lily and Michael’s winter wedding showed just how beautiful the property can be outside of the traditional spring and fall wedding seasons, too.

As a Georgia wedding photographer, one of the things I love most is seeing how differently couples can make the same venue feel. Lily and Michael leaned into deeper winter colors, whimsical details, romantic lighting, and a celebration that felt completely true to them.

From an emotional ceremony with live violin to champagne pops, 35mm film, espresso martinis, cigars, and one seriously fun reception, their February wedding was such a beautiful day from beginning to end.
