A Wedding at Summerour Studio in Atlanta, Georgia | Hannah and Connor Sparkman
Some wedding days stay with you long after the music fades and the lights turn on. Hannah and Connor Sparkman’s wedding at Summerour Studio in Atlanta, Georgia is one of those days I will never forget.
From the very beginning, the day felt exciting, joyful, and deeply meaningful. It was a gathering of lifelong friendships, family bonds, and a kind of love that feels steady and genuine. As an Atlanta wedding photographer, getting to witness days like this is such a gift, and this one felt especially close to my heart.
The Wedding Day at Summerour Studio in Atlanta, Georgia
Summerour Studio is one of Atlanta’s most iconic wedding venues, and it was the perfect setting for Hannah and Connor’s celebration. The historic stone building is surrounded by lush greenery, with ivy climbing the walls and creating a romantic, almost storybook feel.
The ceremony space, set on the dark wooden steps, felt intimate and timeless. Candlelight softened the space and created such a warm, inviting atmosphere as guests arrived. It was the kind of setting that instantly made everything feel intentional and personal, while still holding that classic elegance Summerour Studio is known for.
Getting Ready for the Wedding Day in Atlanta, Georgia
The morning of Hannah and Connor’s wedding was full of anticipation and fun. Hannah was surrounded by her bridesmaids, many of whom she has known since grade school. Some of them grew up together, others came into her life during important seasons, and every single one of them held a special place in her heart.
Popping champagne together was such a fun, joyful way to start the day. There was laughter, excitement, and that shared feeling of knowing something really special was about to happen. What stood out most was how deeply connected this group was. These were not just friends standing beside her. They were lifelong friends who have walked through so much of life together.
Ceremony at Summerour Studio in Atlanta
The ceremony took place indoors, on the grand staircase, surrounded by candles at Summerour Studio. The staircase was also surrounded by the most beautiful floral arrangements designed by Poppy Flowers. It was emotional in the most beautiful way. Each bridesmaid wore a different shade and pattern of pink, creating a look that felt personal and thoughtful.
Guests were greeted with custom newspaper wedding programs designed by the maid of honor, a detail that felt so true to who Hannah and Connor are. As the ceremony unfolded, there were tears, smiles, and moments where it felt like everyone was holding their breath together.
Hannah and Connor exchanged vows surrounded by the people who love them most, and it was impossible not to feel the weight of that moment. It was heartfelt, intimate, and incredibly meaningful.
Wedding Portraits at an Atlanta Wedding Venue
We spent time capturing portraits around Summerour Studio, and the venue offered the most stunning backdrop. The stone walls, greenery, and soft light created portraits that felt romantic and timeless.
Hannah looked absolutely beautiful in her wedding dress from Wedding Angels Bridal Boutique, a gown that moved so effortlessly throughout the day. Together, Hannah and Connor were calm, joyful, and completely at ease. You can tell they are truly best friends, and that closeness came through in every moment we captured.
As a Georgia wedding photographer, Summerour Studio is one of those venues that allows couples to fully be present while still offering endless beauty at every turn.
A Night to Remember at Summerour Studio Wedding Venue
The reception began with speeches from the maid of honors and best man that were incredibly heartfelt. There were tears in just about every corner of the room as they shared stories, memories, and so much love for Hannah and Connor.
And then the night shifted into pure celebration. The dance floor was on fire from the very first song. Everyone was dancing, singing, and holding onto each other like a big group of best friends having the night of their lives.
One moment that I will never forget happened at the end of the night. Hannah and Connor stood in the middle of the dance floor, surrounded by their closest friends, singing “Ribs” by Lorde at the top of their lungs. Tears streamed down faces as everyone took in that moment together. It was emotional, raw, and so full of love. It felt like something straight out of a movie.
The Beauty of Having all Your Favorite People in one Place
What stood out most throughout the entire day was just how completely loved Hannah and Connor are. They are surrounded by friends and family who support them deeply and have walked alongside them for years.
Hannah and Connor now live in Washington, DC, but traveling back home to Georgia to celebrate with everyone they love made this day even more meaningful. Watching an old friend, someone I grew up with, experience the wedding she dreamed of since she was a little girl was incredibly special. Being part of that as her photographer is something I will always treasure.
If you are planning a wedding and dreaming of a day filled with joy, connection, and your favorite people all in one place, Hannah and Connor’s wedding is such a beautiful reminder of just how powerful that can be.
