Eliza + Clayton | Open Field Engagement Session South of Atlanta
- Engagement Session
There’s something truly special about fall weddings, and Evan and Emily’s October wedding at Wild Daisy Farm in Molena, Georgia, was no exception. Their wedding day was one for the books—filled with laughter, joy, and the kind of love that makes you believe in forever. From their heartfelt ceremony in the open-air chapel to an unforgettable night of dancing under the twinkling lights, every moment of their wedding was uniquely them.
As an Atlanta wedding photographer, I get to witness so many incredible love stories, but this one felt extra special. Evan and Emily quickly became more than clients—they became true friends. Seeing them surrounded by their closest family and friends, celebrating their love in such a beautiful and meaningful way, was an absolute honor to capture.
Emily spent the afternoon getting ready in the historic farmhouse at Wild Daisy Farm, surrounded by her mom and best friends. The farmhouse was the perfect backdrop for this special part of the day—filled with charm, natural light, and the sweetest details. Laughter and happy tears filled the space as Emily slipped into her wedding dress, with her mom helping fasten the final buttons.
The farmhouse’s cozy, vintage feel made for the most beautiful and intimate getting-ready photos. The soft light streaming through the windows created a dreamy atmosphere, and every little moment——from Emily’s friends cheering her on to her mom’s emotional reaction—was so heartfelt. It was the perfect way to start such a love-filled day.
Before the ceremony, Emily and Evan chose to share private vows on the front porch of the historic farmhouse. It was such an intimate and emotional moment—just the two of them, taking in the significance of the day. With the warm air blowing around us, they held hands, exchanged the sweetest words, and wiped away happy tears.
There wasn’t a dry eye in sight (including mine!). Moments like this are what make wedding days so incredibly special—the quiet, heartfelt exchanges that reflect a love built on so much more than just one day. It was a privilege to witness and capture such a meaningful part of their story.
Evan and Emily chose to say “I do” in the stunning open-air chapel at Wild Daisy Farm, and it couldn’t have been a more perfect setting. With the warm October sun shining down and a gentle breeze in the air, the atmosphere was serene and magical. The chapel’s white wooden beams and open sides let in the shining light, creating a dreamlike setting for their heartfelt vows.
One of my favorite things about wedding ceremonies is when couples add personal touches that reflect their personalities and love story. And let me tell you—Evan and Emily’s chocolate milk unity ceremony was one for the books! Instead of the traditional candle or sand blending, they mixed chocolate syrup and milk to symbolize their union, creating something sweet and unique—just like them. It was such a fun and personal touch that had their guests smiling from ear to ear.
As an Atlanta wedding photographer, I always encourage couples to embrace what makes their relationship special, and Evan and Emily did exactly that. Their ceremony was emotional, joyful, and full of personality—an absolute joy to witness and capture.
After the ceremony, guests gathered on the lawn for a breathtaking outdoor dinner beneath twinkling string lights. The long wooden tables, decorated with gorgeous floral arrangements, created an elegant yet relaxed atmosphere. There’s something so magical about dining under the stars, surrounded by laughter, clinking glasses, and heartfelt conversations.
One of the highlights of the evening was the speeches. Evan and Emily’s friends and family shared some of the most heartfelt and hilarious stories, bringing so much joy to everyone listening. There was laughter, happy tears, and a whole lot of love as their closest people toasted to the newlyweds. It was clear that Evan and Emily are not only loved as a couple, but as individuals who bring so much happiness to those around them.
After the ceremony and family photos, we set off to capture Evan and Emily’s bridal portraits around Wild Daisy Farm. Let me just say—this venue is a dream, especially at sunset. As the golden light spilled over the fields, we ran around, laughed, and captured some of the most breathtaking portraits. Emily’s dress flowed beautifully in the evening breeze, and Evan couldn’t stop looking at her with the biggest smile.
One of my favorite things about Wild Daisy Farm is its wide-open fields and rolling countryside, which provide the most stunning backdrops for wedding portraits. From romantic shots among the tall grass to sweet moments as they walked hand-in-hand under the warm glow of the setting sun, every frame was pure magic. It was such a joy to capture their love in such a peaceful and picturesque setting—it felt like time stood still for a little while.
After dinner, it was time to party! And let me tell you—this was one fun reception! The dance floor was packed from the very first song, and I don’t think I’ve ever seen a group with that much energy. From the best dance moves to hilarious moments, every part of the reception was an absolute blast.
Emily and Evan’s friends really brought the fun, and it was so clear how loved they are by everyone around them. Whether it was emotional slow dances, spontaneous conga lines, or the most epic sing-alongs, the night was filled with nonstop joy. As an Atlanta wedding photographer, I’ve been to many receptions, but this one had an energy that was truly unforgettable.
Evan and Emily had the sweetest words to say about their experience:
"GBPhotography is the absolute best!!!! Photographer turned friend who captured all these beautiful moments. My heart is so so full!!"
Capturing their wedding day was such a privilege, and I’m beyond grateful for the friendship that grew throughout the process. We first met when I photographed their engagement session ( See Gallery Here ) and have grown our friendship ever since! Watching their love story unfold and being able to document these once-in-a-lifetime moments was a dream come true.
A wedding day is only as smooth and stunning as the team behind it, and let me tell you—we had the most incredible team of vendors for Emily and Evan’s big day! Every vendor played a huge role in making this wedding so special, and I couldn’t have asked for a better group to work alongside. Wild Daisy Farm set the perfect stage for the day with its historic farmhouse, open air chapel, wide open fields, and dreamy reception space. Every corner of this venue is a photographer’s dream, and it made for the most breathtaking backdrop for Emily and Evan’s love story. Next Level Agency absolutely nailed the planning! They kept everything on track while making sure the day was as stress-free and stunning as possible. They were so kind and easy to work with, and their attention to detail made all the difference. Melanies Garden created the most gorgeous floral arrangements that tied everything together beautifully. From Emily’s bouquet to the reception florals, every piece was thoughtfully designed and full of life. DJ Chols brought the energy to the reception in the best way! He played all the right songs, kept the dance floor packed, and made the whole night so much fun. Working with him felt like working with a friend—he truly knows how to bring the party! And of course, Mckala, the talent behind Hair by Mckala, worked her magic on Emily’s bridal look. Emily’s hair stayed flawless all day and night and McKala made sure she felt beautiful and confident every step of the way. I loved working alongside this incredible group of vendors, and I hope to team up again soon! You were all amazing!
